CDL-B → CDL-A Upgrade Course Overview

The Class B to Class A upgrade program at Heavy Haulers CDL and Equipment Academy is designed for licensed Class B drivers ready to expand their qualifications. Training focuses on combination vehicles, advanced maneuvers, and the additional skills required to operate Class A equipment safely and confidently. Program length varies based on experience and progress, with automatic and manual transmission options available.

Flexible scheduling allows drivers to train while continuing to work. Students must hold a valid Class B CDL, maintain a current DOT medical card, and obtain a Class A learner’s permit. Our team supports drivers through the permit and upgrade process to ensure a smooth transition.

Pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees. A one time $500 non-refundable application fee is required when you apply. Financing options are available, including Klarna, as well as weekly and monthly payment plans designed to keep training accessible.

Road test preparation is included, and graduates leave positioned for expanded career opportunities such as long-haul trucking, regional routes, flatbed, tanker, refrigerated freight, and heavy hauling.
